Electrical Engineer

The duties and responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer include but are not limited to:
Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and applying knowledge of power and power distribution.
Develop electrical design of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems to code requirements and client needs.
Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to code standards.
Cross-discipline coordination of MEPT components within Revit and AutoCAD.
Assist in supporting electrical team members.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
Ability to listen to others, express ideas effectively, and provide relevant and timely information to co-workers and clients both verbally and in writing.
Conduct field surveys to determine existing project conditions.
Conduct construction site visits to ensure systems are installed per drawings and specifications.
Respond to contractor RFIs and review project shop drawings/submittals.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Emphasis on timely and accurate execution of deadlines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Four-year accredited program in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
Five or more years of related experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills
Revit MEP
AutoCAD
Maintain or able to obtain a Professional Engineer License
