Meet the Team
In this role, you will be key member of the Corporate Security team at Silicon Labs. Our team is made up of various Corporate Security professionals ranging in expertise, skillsets, and talents. You will be a leading voice in our penetration team activities and will be an active participant in PSIRT and security improvements across various product solutions.
Responsibilities
Drive security mitigations and promote security by design
Support Product Security Incident Response team (PSIRT) activities, ensuring timely actions to address security issues
Identify vulnerabilities through penetration testing and document technical details related to testing or TARA activities for embedded software solutions
Recommend corrective actions for identified security vulnerabilities
Participate in software and/or hardware architectural reviews
Assist with vulnerability resolution tracking
Provide training and guidance on security best practices
Collaborate globally to support security design best practices
Demonstrate good judgment and work with limited supervision
Communicate findings to teams and senior personnel
Skills You Will Need
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
4+ years of industry experience with testing, developing, or validating Wireless stacks (Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, etc.)
Proficiency with penetration testing in firmware, hardware, and software
Strong coding ability in C, C++, and application-level programming (Java, Python, etc.)
Demonstrated passion for security and embedded software
Advanced understanding of software vulnerability and mitigations
Ability to perform threat analysis risk assessments (TARAs)
Experience in secure coding, code reviews, and software architecture
Competency with security incident response and issue management
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 security reports
Familiarity with testing equipment, security tools, and technologies
Excellent communication
The following qualifications will be considered a plus:
Familiarity of Silicon Labs' stacks
Security-related certifications
Experienced in developing exploits for ARM and x86 devices

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $98,456 - $182,848 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
