The Opportunity:

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, provides integrated engineering and design solutions for the Energy, Petrochem, Renewables, Water Treatment and Life Sciences markets and is looking for an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our team. Our team meets these changing needs by being a trusted partner to each of our clients. In addition to conventional facility solutions and designs, our projects include Hydrogen Electrolysis, Ammonia Production Facilities, Renewable Natural Gas Processing, Emissions Reduction Studies, Carbon Capture and Sequestration, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, and much more.

Your Role:

Electrical Engineers are responsible for supporting design and implementation of electrical systems, and working with software, and various other tools. As an Electrical Engineer I, you primarily focus on developing robust power distribution systems within an overall project team.

Job Responsibilities:

· Ability to work with a process lead on various projects – complete tasks as assigned by the lead Electrical Engineer.

· Performs basic power engineering tasks and calculations for processing and heavy industrial Oil and Gas, Renewables, Petrochemical and Industrial Wastewater Treatment facilities under the direction and supervision of a Staff Electrical Engineer

· Maintaining & commenting on the schedule and budget of assigned projects and understanding the scope of assigned tasks .

· Basic understanding of Oneline and panel schedule development, simple cable tray/conduit layout and fill calculations, cable/wire sizing, CAD drafting

· Vendor submittal review and develop and wiring diagrams based on vendor drawings.

· Reviews work for discrepancies or inconsistencies

· Tracks details of work to discuss with supervisor

· Research and resolve issues with all available tools

· Develops and improves technical knowledge and skills

· Maintains professionalism in relationships with other office and team members

· Plans what needs to be communicated and how to present the information effectively

· Seeks out company and client technical standards and implements them on projects

· Constructively builds and maintains relationships with others on the project design team

· Travel required when requested

· Makes site visits to observe during construction and operation

· Lighting designs, luminaire layout, and circuit switching

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering similar ABET accredited engineering degree and relevant experience.

· 0-3 years’ experience

· Course work in power engineering

· Engineer-in-Training certification desired but not required

· Experience with Autocad

· Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code

· Ability to read and understand One-Line Diagrams and Control Schematics

· Basic knowledge of symmetrical components, fault current calculations, and machine theory

· Ability to work with supervisor to effectively complete routine tasks

· Capable of breaking a task into one or more component parts and sequencing those parts effectively

· General awareness of need for practicality and constructability of design solutions

· General awareness of the scope, schedule and budget assigned for engineering tasks

· Self-starter with the ability to work with more experienced electrical engineers to apply standard textbook electrical design and analysis approach

· Follows selected design approach through completion of analysis and detailing

· Ability to logically organize work

· Ability to listen to others and ask clarifying questions at appropriate time

· Willingness to accept suggestions and corrections on organization and planning issues

· Seeks help to understand and productively work through conflict to keep tasks moving forward

· General awareness of the "business" of electrical engineering as well as the technical design issues

· Strong verbal and written communications skills that are well organized and persuasive

· Proficient in MS Office Suite such as Word and Excel
