Job Description: We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sr. Software Engineer to contribute to the team responsible for wifi driver/firmware development. Ideal candidates are seasoned engineers with a background in embedded systems, preferably experience in the areas like device driver, linux kernel and WLAN protocol. Our team works closely with ASIC, DSP, system engineers, and we participate in the full product lifecycle from pre-silicon all the way through to full software reference designs.
The specific responsibilities of this position include:
Design and develop new wifi driver/firmware features for WLAN networking products
Enhance transmit power control, including regulatory, SAR and closed-loop and open-loop power control algorithms
Participate in architecture and design for new generation solution
Debugging and fixing bugs for issues in existing products
Maintain and enhance existing software architecture
Experience with customer engagements, be able to work & replicate customer issues in the lab environment,
Root cause HW & SW issues in customers setups, provide patches fro HW & SW issues
Provide on-going HW & SW support to existing customers, answer customer technical questions
Job Requirements :
BS in CS/EE with 12+ years of related experience, or MS in CS/EE with 10+ years of related experience
Proven experience in working on device driver development
Fluent in the C language, assembly and embedded debugging
Strong knowledge/experience in embedded firmware development
Experience in PCIe driver, PCIe IPC protocols, PCIE analyzer, logic analyzer
Strong technical leadership skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills, particularly in the realm of software debugging
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills
Imaginative, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure
General knowledge of 802.11 wireless networking, Layer-2, Layer- 3 & Layer-4 (TCP& UDP)
Deep experience with linux kernel and networking driver

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
