Controller
Our client seeks a personable Controller to lead their accounting team. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is team-oriented and enjoys collaborating across multiple groups within the organization.
Responsibilities of the Controller
Manage and mentor accounting team.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end processes.
Maintain GL and prepare financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Identify, develop, and implement continuous process improvements.
Support annual audit preparations.
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
Controller Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in construction, professional services or related industry.
Strong knowledge of full-process accounting functions and GAAP compliance.
Tech-savvy with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; prior systems implementation experience a plus.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage timelines and competing priorities.
Analytical mindset with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
