**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking to add a **Structural Engineer** for our **Hunt Valley, MD** office. Our business focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in engineering design, code consultation, and construction phase services for a wide variety of clients both in the private and public sectors. We execute large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design, systems engineering and technical assistance, program and construction management, and operations and maintenance services.

**_This position is expected to begin as soon as possible._**

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Performing assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.

+ Preparing engineering-related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids.

+ Performing condition inspections and/or field instrumentation of highway bridges or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided).

+ Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

+ Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

+ As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Relevant intern and/or professional experience.

+ Basic knowledge of industry-standard structural analysis computer software packages.

+ Proficiency with industry-standard computer software, including typical office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

+ Proficiency in steel and concrete design and analysis.

+ Ability to perform field work (bridge and drilling inspections).

+ Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).

+ Successful completion of Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (FHWA-NHI -130055)

+ Experience with ASIR and SAM.

+ Experience with instrumentation of bridges (sensor installation, programming, and data processing).

+ 1+ year of relevant experience.

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

+ Travel is required for this position.

+ This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in **Hunt Valley, MD** . The selected candidate must be available to work in **Hunt Valley, MD** on a scheduled basis.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $72,000.00 - $83,000.00.
