What You Will Be Doing

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be restoring multiple units throughout the property at a time versus one building at a time. Superintendent will be required to walk the entire project/units in production multiple times a day and week to evaluate progress and identify areas of opportunities with subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.

Essential Job Functions

Assist in scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Communicate and ensure coordination with ASI's, RFI's, addendums and material submittals.

Ensure that the subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.

Maintain daily log (written documentation and photos) of activities on the job site.

Periodically will perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.

Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

Lead onsite weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate and communicate the work.

Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work, scheduling, or safety.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Perform job progress and completion punch list walks with the client identifying and completing incomplete items.

Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.

Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.

Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.

Lead a pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor prior to the start of the work.

Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.

Assist in hiring sub-tier employees (i.e., labor services, etc.)

Manage day-to-day operations and on-sight project management.

Required Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook

2-7 years Restoration Construction experience

50-80% travel required between surrounding markets.
