1. Project Description: The Design Compliance Manager manages the architectural and
engineering design processes to conform to professional industry and MTA C&D standards.
2. Professional/Technical Title: Managerial Grade B (Design Compliance Manager)
3. Duration of Service Required: 52 Weeks
4. Normal Work Week: Monday to Friday
5. No. of Hours Per Week: 40 hours / unpaid lunch break
6. Hours of Work: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
x Technical functions: 80 % Administrative functions: 20 %
x Field location: 10 % Office location: 90 %

9. Reports To: AVP - Deputy Project Executive
10. Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction or project management, transportation, or a related field.
11. Experience Requirements:
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
12. Licensing Requirements:
Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license is required.
13. Special Skills/Training Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have focus and ability to deliver on results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Must possess excellent team building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
14. Description of Work:
Reviews/creates in-house technical designs for non-Design-Build projects.
Responsible for developing third party/consultant contract task order scope of works with associated estimates.
Responsible for managing third party/consultant contract task order scope of work to develop required technical documents for Design-Build/Non-Design Build projects.
Responsible for monitoring and/or auditing third-party technical design and engineering activities for compliance with the contract's requirements.
Provides continuous design oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle. Manages and allocates design review team members to project schedules/milestones. Acts as technical authority & governance.
