Soni Resources' client is looking for a Security Operations Specialist to join their growing team. This is a hybrid role based out King of Prussia, PA reporting directly to the CISO.
Responsibilities:
Define business requirements for OT security-specific solutions in collaboration with the Manufacturing & Engineering Process Automation Team.
Design and build architecture for OT-specific security solutions to meet specified requirements.
Lead projects to commission new OT-specific security tools for production use and monitoring.
Perform Transition to Operations activities, ensuring smooth deployment and ongoing support of OT-specific security tools.
Facilitate knowledge transfer between project teams and the security operations team for OT-specific security tools.
Assist in maturing the Security Operations Center to effectively identify, detect, respond, and recover from OT security events.
Serve as an escalation point for cyber security incidents, acting as an interface between OT and IT management during such events.
Partner with the IT Security Architect to maintain alignment and interoperability between IT and OT security solutions.
Identify automation solutions to reduce operational challenges.
Collaborate with IT infrastructure and Process Automation applications teams to ensure secure manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain key relationships with OT Application, Infrastructure, and Security vendors.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
15+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least 3 years in security operations.
Strong familiarity with the Purdue model, IEC 62443, and NIST 800-63 frameworks.
Experience with operations technology hardware/software (e.g., ABB, Delta V, WinCC, Opsgenie, IP21).
Proficiency in managing assets, handling patches and vulnerabilities, facilitating remote access, managing privileged access, implementing application whitelisting, and overseeing backups within OT environments.
Ability to integrate traditional IT security approaches with the unique needs of OT operations.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with OT, IT professionals, and manufacturing personnel.
Demonstrated flexibility, eagerness to acquire new skills, and a customer-oriented mindset.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices.
Strong leadership qualities, adept at communication, and skilled decision-making under pressure.
