About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Accounting Officer and SVP Finance. This key senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including daily and month-end general ledger operations, fixed assets, loans and cash, and fair value accounting for loan portfolio assets. The successful candidate will be tasked with establishing and maintaining accounting procedures and systems to comply with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, while also developing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting. The role involves coordinating audits, leading the preparation of audited financial statements, and providing guidance on complex financial transactions and business development opportunities.Candidates must have a minimum of an accounting or finance degree and a CPA, with experience in private or public companies and a strong knowledge of GAAP reporting. Experience in technical accounting matters such as fair value accounting, income tax accounting, equity plan administration, and corporate transactions is desirable. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in recruiting, retaining, and developing a strong team, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects. Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to proactively identify issues and recommend solutions. Management experience and familiarity with MS Dynamics general ledger software are a plus.
