Senior Database Engineer
What does a successful Senior Database Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the database architecture, which stores critical information about privileged users across various sources, platforms, and operating systems.
What you will do:
Design, maintain, and manage databases containing privileged user data from diverse sources and platforms.
Extend existing database tables and integrate new functions to meet evolving security requirements.
Develop and implement scripts to automate PAM processes, enhancing system efficiency and security.
Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that database solutions align with companywide PAM policies and protocols.
Conduct regular security audits and performance optimizations to ensure database integrity and responsiveness.
Provide technical support and training to team members on new database features and functionalities.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends in database security and PAM solutions.
What you will need to have:
6+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, with a background in security or PAM environments.
5+ years of experience in SQL with database management and data aggregation.
5+ years of experience scripting skills in Python or similar languages to support PAM-related activities.
3+ years of experience in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and platform architectures.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
Certifications in database management, cybersecurity, or specific technologies related to PAM.
Experience with cloud databases and services.
Familiarity with compliance requirements impacting database security.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York or Washington.
