The Team:

You will be a Java Full stack Senior Software Engineer and part of the S&P Global Rating commercial Portfolio: Issuer Engagement Engineering Team. This team has a broad and expert knowledge on delivering Ratings content to our customers. The team has a diverse experience in technology stacks and architectural patterns, fosters knowledge sharing and collaboration that results in a unified strategy. What’s in it for you:

S&P Global Ratings is looking for an Engineer to join the Issuer Engagement Engineering team within Ratings Technology, a team of technology professionals who define and execute the Commercial roadmap for S&P Global Ratings. The successful candidate will participate in the design and build of S&P Ratings cloud based Ratings client facing portals.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise in design and implementation of Java/J2EE, Spring boot, JavaScript, Angular/React.

Work closely with Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to prioritize and develop various features.

Partner with Architecture and Data organization to ensure best use of standards.

Be in tune with emerging trends and participate in evaluation of new technologies.

Ensure compliance through the adoption of enterprise standards and promotion of best practice / guiding principles aligned with organization standards.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's /Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.

Experience in client-side technologies like Java, J2EE, Springboot, ReactJS, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

A minimum of 7 years of experience building web applications , preferably across the full tech stack. With primary concern being the service tier and secondarily the UI tier.

Superior knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns.

Web centric technologies like Webpack, unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha...

Web application performance tuning

Other desirable technical knowledge :

Kubernetes, Docker, Micro Front End

Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile. SAFe experience is a plus.

Active usage of Microsoft DevOps is preferable.

Proficiency in the development environment, IDEs, web & application server, GIT, Continuous Integration, unit-testing tools and defect management tools.

Domain knowledge of Financial Industry and Capital Markets is a plus.

Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
