Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. The selected candidate will follow established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Each Orthopedic surgeon functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the entire staff. If selected , you will be responsible for participating in and/or manage all aspects of a general orthopedic surgery program, to include inpatient and outpatient clinical, administrative, academic, and research components if warranted. Responsibilities also includes performing administrative duties, hip and knee joint replacement surgeries, arthroscopies as well as basic fracture work. You will be expected to also provide supervision to Orthopedic PAs and Orthopeadic Residents from Rutgers NJMS Orthopaedic Program along with other assigned duties/task.
Work Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, various shifts; required to participate in on-call rotation.
Travel: May be required to work at a different site 1/2 a day per week.
