POSITION OVERVIEW

DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a Travel Coordinator who will create and finalize travel arrangements for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Program Managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Serve as a primary point-of-contact to initiate, modify, and resolve travel plans, including making changes to existing flight and hotel reservations

+ Apply extensive knowledge of policies regarding government travel, including booking with contract fares, and serve as an onsite help technician to respond to any travel-related inquiries

+ Primary responsibility to effectively maintain calendars for supported DARPA staff, including de-confliction between events, send and accept meeting invites, and coordinate visit requests

+ Assist with planning travel projections and track travel expenditures for program managers

+ Analyze financial data and present program budget recommendations

+ Generate military interdepartmental purchase requests (MIPR) and purchase requests (PR) in accordance with agency guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Active DoD Secret Clearance

+ 4 years of experience that includes assisting with meeting planning, scheduling, and travel coordination

+ Experience providing support to senior-level government officials, including SES

+ Knowledge of the Defense Travel System and the information required for processing automated DD forms

+ Demonstrated proficiency using modern PC computer techniques, systems, and tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

+ DoD experience with at least 2 years working within a R&D organization such as DARPA
