The Operations Manager, will oversee a diverse range of critical functions, including the 24/7 Call Center, Broker Carrier Setup, Central Dispatch, Planning Group, and Heavy Haul/Permits. This individual will spearhead initiatives like the corporate FG Report program and Driver Retention strategies for our Central Group. Every day will present new challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact on our success.
Essential Job Duties
Foster the growth, development, and overall performance of our talented Operations Group, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to thrive
Create, track, and optimize key performance indicators, ensuring that our team members are set up for success
Oversee Central Dispatch fleet of Owner Operators
Implement freight optimization and driver retention strategies
Identify opportunities for process improvement
Facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement objectives
Assign drivers and dispatchers
Handle agent, customer, and driver escalations
Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance
Requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of leadership experience, successfully leading a team of 4+ direct reports
Trucking industry experience
Operations Transportation Management experience
TMS familiarity
Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
Top-notch customer service skills
Skill to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the day
Collaborative team player
Strong typing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
