You will guide the architecture and technical direction of the interfaces that connect real-world energy systems with a clear, simple digital experience.You'll join a small, high-impact team responsible for the digital front door of Base. In this role, you will lead development of major product surfaces across web and mobile, partner closely with product and design to shape the roadmap, and ensure we ship fast, reliable software.This role requires strong product judgment, technical leadership, and the ability to translate complex systems into simple experiences that millions of households can rely on.What You'll Do:Lead development of the customer experience across Base web and mobile applicationsDefine and evolve frontend architecture that supports a fast, reliable, and scalable product platformOwn major product surfaces end-to-end, from initial concept through production and iterationWork closely with backend engineers to design APIs and data models that support product featuresTranslate complex energy systems into clear, intuitive user experiencesPartner with product and design to shape the roadmap and deliver high-impact featuresEstablish engineering standards and improve developer experience across the frontend stackMentor engineers and raise the bar for product engineering across the teamUse analytics and experimentation to improve the member experience over timeWhat You'll Bring:2+ years of experience building production software in product or full-stack engineering rolesDeep expertise in TypeScript and modern web frameworks such as React or Next.jsStrong experience designing frontend architecture for complex web applicationsTrack record of owning products or platforms from concept through launch and iterationAbility to work across the stack and collaborate closely with backend engineers on APIs and data modelsStrong product judgment and the ability to translate complex systems into simple user experiencesExperience using product analytics, experimentation, and data to guide decisionsTechnical depth in software engineering.
