Internship Position in Transgenic Model Technology
Sanofi Translational In Vivo Models Research Platform (TIM) invites applications for a 10-weeks internship position in Transgenic molecular characterization group, mainly focused on verifying at the gDNA levels in the transgenic animal models utilized by Sanofi Research Scientists, and to provide genotyping data to support animal studies.
Internship Position Description :
This 10-week internship position, located in Sanofi R&D Cambridge sites, will focus on molecular biology involving the verification of animal models of human diseases, with brief trainings in mouse Tissue Digestion & gDNA/RNA Isolation, and CRISPR-Cas technology for new animal model generation; Perform gDNA Fragment Amplification for downstream Sanger Sequencing, Assess transgenic model genomic construct using long PCR / sequencing, or next generation sequencing approach
Qualifications :
Must be a member of the INROADS Program
Majoring in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology, STEM, or Computer/Digital Sciences.
Willingness to learn and perform animal studies, Ability to work independently and proactively.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work in a team-oriented, matrix environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
