Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with various departments to achieve departmental goals.
Prepare for and complete audits including Costco Small Manufacturer Audit and SQF Level II Certification.
Manage employee and production schedules.
Implement and update policies related to the CMI Certified Food Safety System.
Lead HACCP team meetings and update the HACCP system.
Conduct mock recalls and review food safety fundamentals.
Perform supplier food safety assessments and maintain the Approved Supplier Registry.
Verify documentation and records for food safety and quality.
Train employees on program requirements in English and Spanish.
Stay current with government regulations and report changes to Senior Management.
Maintain physical audit readiness.
Operations:
Build and lead a team to achieve company goals.
Train and educate employees on various operational tasks.
Oversee order processing, shipping, and receiving.
Manage inventory control using FIFO methods.
Coordinate maintenance of production and warehouse equipment.
Ensure accurate and timely filling of company forms and logs.
Conduct weekly and monthly inspections and tests.
Handle physical inventory and defective product management.
Oversee temperature control, security, and IT systems.
Perform light maintenance, including plumbing and equipment repairs.
Participate in on-call rotations for weekends.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in food sanitation, production, quality, and maintenance.
Valid Texas Drivers license and legal authorization to work in the USA.
Reside within 30 minutes of the plant.
College degree in Food Science or equivalent work experience.
Certified SQF Practitioner and HACCP Training.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
Ability to work in a 36-degree environment, stand for long periods, and lift up to 75 lbs.
Must pass a drug test and background check.

Work Schedule:
