Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and improving the underlying systems behind the largest cloud video surveillance platform in the world. Your passion for finding solutions to difficult technical challenges will help keep Eagle Eye Networks on the forefront of the industry with the most stable and secure cloud platform available. You will work closely with development teams to help them meet their objectives by defining best practices, maintaining the platform through automation, performance tuning, and planning capacity. Your expertise in Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and automation will be key to the success of the company as we continue to grow rapidly. Dedication, fast thinking, and excellent problem solving skills will be key to success in this role. Technology changes quickly, and we need to change and adapt with it. This means facing problems for which there is no prescribed solution, implementing cutting edge distributed solutions, and providing enhanced support to Engineering leaders by maintaining visibility and uptime for critical systems.

Experience

5+ years of Linux

Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes

Expertise with IAC: Ansible and Terraform preferred

Understanding of distributed systems and their challenges

Experience scripting in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Shell

Experience working with large scale private or public clouds

Experience with common metrics and log aggregation systems

Experience with build automation and CI/CD.

Familiar with common networking concepts
