We are in the midst of rejuvenating our web application portfolio in support of our Workplace Solutions business that has expanded in recent years to cover the entire market of employers from large to small. This work ranges from enhancing existing capabilities, with the utmost emphasis on the customer experience, to adding new features and functionality our customers truly desire. Our goal is simple, to have the best web experience in the industry.

What you'll be doing

Exercising your abilities as a well-rounded software engineer by demonstrating advanced comprehension in backend disciplines while exhibiting an adequate competency in frontend technologies (experience in a combination of Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React.js,)

Managing the full lifecycle of web application development (designing, building, testing, deploying, and monitoring)

Using tools such as Gitlab, SonarQube, Splunk, New Relic, and Confluence, to drive operations and collaboration

Championing lean-Agile, DevOps principles and practices (e.g. CI/CD; you build it, you own it), and independent architecture, while supporting a culture of innovation and continuous learning

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

7+ years of experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

Advanced experience with Java and Spring Boot

Advanced experience with microservice design (Service-Oriented Architecture) and RESTful web services

Experience with React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (and/or like modern front-end technologies)

Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Delivery and DevOps

Excellent communication, with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience writing Unit Tests (e.g. Mockito, Junit, Karma, Jasmine)

Experience working on fully dedicated agile teams

Nice-to-haves:

Experience with Kotlin

Experience with Node.js

Experience with Angular.js

Experience with ADA compliant web design

Pay Range: $90,300 - $164,700

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
