Assistant Clinical Professor/Associate Clinical Professor/Clinical Professor Job Description & Qualification The Department of Accounting & Information Assurance (AIA) at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park seeks to hire Non-Tenure Professional Track Faculty. Rank is open. The appointments will be at the level of Professor of the Practice, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Full Professor depending on experience and qualifications. The starting date will be in August 2024. Applicants are expected to develop and teach high quality courses — both in person and online — to students in our undergraduate, specialty accounting masters, MBA, and executive education programs, to engage with the appropriate business communities, and to help with aspects of program administration such as admissions, student advising, and placement. The mix of these responsibilities differs across the ranks and can vary over time. Candidates for the Professor of the Practice position are expected to have the greatest external visibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor positions:

• A Ph.D. (or terminal degree) and be highly visible in the business community.

Professor of Practice positions:

• A record of extensive accomplishment in business.

All applicants:

• Outstanding teaching skills to a variety of audiences across different formats (e.g., in-person, online, and hybrid) and across a variety of subject areas in accounting.

• Prior successful teaching in a top-ranked business school is preferred, and experience in senior corporate leadership roles will also be valued.
