Testing Automation Architect

Job Description

Lead current-state testing and automation assessments.

Evaluate applications, integrations, environments, and testing processes.

Define enterprise testing strategy, target-state architecture, and roadmap.

Design scalable automation frameworks, standards, and governance models.

Identify automation opportunities and prioritize based on business value and risk

Review existing Playwright implementation and determine scalability improvements

Evaluate compliance, governance, and audit requirements

Design test automation architecture

Define framework standards and patterns

Come up with innovative strategies and solution for automated test evidence capture processes and tools

Establish automation-first testing approaches across API, integration, UI and end-to-end testing.

Define CI/CD quality gate and test automation integration strategy.

Identify, prioritize, and roadmap automation opportunities.

Define MVP scope, implementation approach, and success metrics.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SDET and AI Engineering teams.

Partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive adoption and execution.

Drive stakeholder workshops and executive presentations

Skills and Requirements

10+ years in Quality Engineering / Test Automation

10+ years in test architecture roles

Experience leading enterprise testing transformation initiatives

Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, lending, or regulated industries

Experience creating testing strategies and operating models

Strong experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.

API Testing framework

TestNG / JUnit

GitHub actions

Azure Devops

CI/CD design and pipeline creation

Test Automation architecture,

Test data management strategy and test environments management strategy

Experience with Test Evidence capture processes in highly compliant environment

Enterprise Test Automation Architecture

Experience with AI assisted testing automation

Test Strategy Development

API, Integration and UI Automation

CI/CD and DevOps practices

Test Governance and Operating Models

Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC

Stakeholder and workshop facilitation Financial Services experience
