Autonom ous technology solutions are critical enabler s for recreational marine , alleviating barriers for entry and reducing anxiety in traditionally stressful operational scenarios. The successful Candidate shall

Review and create the t echnical requirements, best practices, test and validation procedures for the software associated with marine applications, marine connectivity/ IOT, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems ( ADAS ) and autonomous marine vessels

Oversee the software toolchains, interfaces, libraries for applications in the marine environment with consideration of current and future Brunswick environment

Oversee and draft requirements for software security , privacy and safety .

Develope software that enable s advanced HMI, rich user interface, ADAS and autonomous user features and consider flexibility for global architecture requirements and internal/external interfaces of the future as well as rapid learning cycles

Key responsibilities

Full stack, React, Python, Cloud Development

Exepeirence in protocol s, BLE and React Native development

Developing a software platform for marine connectivity , autonomy and ADAS features

Author software functional specifications and develop detail design documentation

Strong software background with complex software systems programming and development

A gile software development best practices and tools - jira , github , confluence, automated testing

R equired Experience/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering , computer science or related engineering field

Full stack d evelopment in React Native, Kotlin, Android, Java, Python, C/C++ , embedded development proficiency

Minimum of 5- 10 + years of experience in a software development and software architecture role

Experience with embedded realtime software development and final project delivery

Experience with IOT connected and secure products and protocols – WiFi , BLE, CAN, NMEA 2K

Experience with SDK development,

Experience with requirement and issue tracking tools

Strong Critical Thinking and communications skills, verbally and written.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Experience with software related safety standards such as ISO functional safety, MISRA or other functional safety standards and frameworks

B.S/ M.S. in computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field

Experience with SDK development, platforming, autonomous/ADAS/propulsion software development and final project delivery

Experience with ADAS and autonomous sens ors such as sonar, radar, lidar, and cameras

Experience in the marine environment

This position will be based out of the Chicagoland area , Brunswick Headquarters , Mettawa IL.
