The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Consumer Group is responsible for the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of the business unit. The FP&A team plays a unique and critical role in driving business decisions and optimizing financial outcomes for the Consumer Group. FP&A determines and communicates financial goals and targets to each functional group within the unit, and then consolidates and monitors financial performance against those goals to ensure CG is reaching its objectives.
The FP&A team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support the headcount and expense reporting of the Marketing and Design teams for the Consumer Group. This person will partner very closely with the senior Marketing and Design leaders in the Consumer organization to lead forecasting, planning and analysis, as well to drive strategic initiatives, resource allocation and investment decisions for this organization.
What you'll bring
3-5 years of relevant work experience (experience in FP&A, consumer financing, or high growth companies preferred)
Strong understanding of investment/expense management and resource planning
Detail-oriented individual with deep experience in deriving insights from analysis, formulating those insights into concise story lines and delivering presentations to senior executives to influence decision making
Self-starter with a desire to quickly learn and excel; willing and able to initiate, manage, and execute projects, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions
Trusted business partner who delivers operational excellence by understanding the needs of the business and identifying opportunities to improve financial results
Strong financial acumen and understanding of portfolio dynamics and drivers. Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, operate in a cross-functional matrixed organization, and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment focused on driving business results
Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite, analytical and problem-solving skills
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management, or equivalent work experience
How you will lead
Develop and maintain expense budget forecasting and management models to enable effective decision support for the business
Manage daily FP&A processes including headcount and contingent workforce forecasting in partnership with cross-functional teams including business leaders, HR and Talent Acquisition; tracking purchase orders; collaborate with accounting and other Finance teams across Intuit where necessary to manage expense flows
Lead month-end close, and drive monthly/quarterly/annually planning processes to enable Marketing and Design teams to deliver against financial targets
Drive various analyses that deliver data driven insights in a structured manner to promote business outcomes that accelerate our growth trajectory
Support FP&A team to design, continuously improve, and implement new financial and operational processes to ensure we meet our financial commitments
Communicate effectively both verbally and written with senior leaders within the Finance, Marketing, and Design organizations
