Executive Summary of Position:

The Construction Management Manager manages a team of Construction Management Specialists (CMS) as well as being responsible for completing an assigned pipeline of construction management requests alongside of their direct reports. The Construction Management Team has responsibilities in both pre-closing and post-closing processes of closing Rehab and Construction Business Purpose Loans identified below.

Pre-Closing:

The Construction Management Team creates and monitors the pre -close process of contractor and project cost reviews. Monitors and assists the processing team in ensuring all reviews are completed within accordance of established processes and procedures. Serves as support and point for any CRS, borrower, builders, and third-party inspector/vendor questions, issues, or escalations concerning the pre -close process or reviews. Supports with department-wide initiatives, and implementation as required by business unit leadership.

Post-Closing:

The Construction Management Team processes construction loan draws in accordance with established procedures. Serves as processing point of contact for borrowers, builders, and third-party inspector vendors to resolve construction loan-related questions and issues. Supports department-wide initiatives and implementation as required by business unit leadership.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

Minimum of three years of management experience directly supervising production-based staff.

Minimum five years of risk mitigation experience in pre -close review of contractor and project documents.

Minimum five years of experience in the Construction Loan draw processing.

Experience with loan and disbursement systems preferred.

Ability to communicate various construction terms dependent on region.

Ability to read and review partial to full sets of construction plans.

Understanding the various construction contract types presented as agreement.

Ability to review and understand budget for proposed projects and analyze the costing according.

Anility to read and understand an appraisal and credit report at a basic level.

Keep appropriate parties informed of project status, problems, issues, etc. Negotiate and attempt to resolve conflicts around projects or work assignments; communicate problems to Manager as needed.

Ability to handle conflicts or escalations in an appropriate manner and understand the party's concerns and expectations

Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary applications.

Detail oriented and analytical thinker.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to Multitask in a dynamic environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to successfully communicate with internal and external parties as well as present to executive management.

Ability to work independently, as well as part of cohesive team.
