Structural Project Engineer

HIE Consulting Engineers is a structural engineering firm focused on structural design and investigative engineering services for architects, contractors, developers, property owners, and others involved in property oversight and development. Our services include structural design of new structures, retrofit structural designs for existing structures, structural inspections, due diligence inspections, and other general structural engineering services. HIE Consulting Engineers has over 50 years of engineering experience.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER located in Denver, CO, with flexibility for some remote work. The project engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing safe and efficient structural systems, preparing construction documents and reports, using computer-aided design (CAD) software, and communicating with clients and other team members. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, independent professionals who can apply sound reasoning and engineering principles to unique situations and provide recommendations to clients in terms they understand.

Requirements Include

Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering experience in timber framing

Proficiency in RISA or similar structural analysis programs, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing.

Proficiency in the creation of construction documents

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members

Must have knowledge of current building codes and construction standards.

Must demonstrate excellent customer service, written and oral communication, and time management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field

Engineering Intern license (E.I.) (Required)

In-state travel required.

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience ($70k-$90k).

Potential for additional earnings above base salary based on individual and company performance.
