We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities As a Technical Project Manager in SEM Department you will:

Motivate the team to push the envelope, quality and sense of urgency with a right balance.

Have excellent understanding of product development flow.

Have the capability to take high-level requirements and map them into the appropriate development team resources to ensure successful delivery per top-level program plan.

Keep the team focused and motivated throughout the development cycle.

Have the capability to create and maintain a project plan for the development team.

Manage the outsourcing of development activities at co-developers.

Experience in project management of complex engineering systems.

Proven record for product delivery.

System understanding of multiple projects (both hardware and software) happening around and act on dependencies.

Good process background: Project management certification a plus, not a must.

Ability to understand systems specifications, test specifications and reports.

Ownership mentality- desire to deliver top quality at right cost, first time right.

Highly motivated- desire to solve problems and succeed (self-starter and driven).

Good written and oral communications skills- ability to provide project planning with sound technical trade-off arguments.

Good team player who works well in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural high-technology environment.

Lead project team of 5-20 engineers.

Education and experience * Required educational background includes a BS in Engineering Physics, with several years of experience in the related field, or a Master's degree or higher in any Engineering field, such as Electronics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a closely related discipline. This broad educational foundation is critical for understanding and applying the complex principles that underpin SEM technology and related applications.

* 7+ years of relevant experience in design, project management, or a related field, with a preference for experience in SEM or related technologies. This includes a strong emphasis on managing projects that encompass electronics, firmware, and software within complex project structures.

* Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects, including budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivering multifaceted components such as electronics, firmware, and software to meet stakeholder needs.

* Experience with Agile project management methodologies and tools is highly regarded.

* Knowledge on Wafer Inspection and Application is a bonus.

Skills * Comprehensive understanding of Physics and its application in technology development, with the capability to handle electronics, firmware, and software aspects in complex project structures.

* Expertise in risk management and the ability to navigate complex project landscapes, ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.

* Proficient in budget management and strategic decision-making, with a keen ability to align technical requirements with project goals.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for management and effectively articulate needs to suppliers and across departments.

* Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments, influencing without authority and leveraging relationships to ensure project success.

* Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile, to efficiently manage and track project progress.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $159,000-$265,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
