Job Details We are currently seeking a highly skilled Attorney with experience in Transportation Insurance to join our dynamic team in the insurance industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing legal advice and support to our transportation insurance division. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to handle complex legal issues related to transportation insurance and excess casualty claims. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal advice on matters related to transportation insurance and excess casualty claims.
Draft, review, and negotiate insurance policies and endorsements related to transportation.
Manage and oversee the defense of litigation involving insured transportation claims.
Advise on risk management and loss prevention strategies in the transportation sector.
Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and other attorneys to resolve legal issues.
Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations affecting transportation insurance and communicate these changes effectively to the team.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Develop and deliver training to internal teams on transportation insurance laws and regulations.
Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on transportation insurance law.
Proven experience in handling excess casualty claims.
Active member of the state bar in good standing.
Exceptional knowledge of laws and regulations related to transportation insurance.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and professional accountability.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
