**Required Skills:**
Technical Artist - Reality Labs Metaworks Team Responsibilities:
1. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to define and develop content in DCCs and proprietary graphics engines
2. Design, manage, and maintain content creation and development pipelines collaborating with engineers, artists, and designers
3. Build tools and plugins to support and facilitate the content creation process
4. Optimize content for run-time performance and instructing artists and designers on asset creation best practices
5. Prototype, profile and optimize shaders
6. Tackle complex problems, exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills without the need for direct guidance, in both an independent and cross-functional setting
7. Assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including those with undefined requirements
8. Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Minimum Qualifications:
9. 3+ years experience with Maya Python/PyMEL, C#, C++ API, PySide/PyQt, or Javascript
10. 3+ years of experience in game development or film as a Technical Artist or Technical Director
11. 3+ years experience working with Unity, Unreal, or a real-time engine
12. In depth knowledge of Perforce, Git and/or other source control systems
13. Content pipeline development experience, with emphasis on building efficient pipelines and tools for content creation and asset tracking, in AAA games, film, and/or big tech companies
14. Proven experience to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, artists, and other technical artists
15. Experience making tools and automation for one or more packages like Maya, Bender, Houdini, Substance Painter, Designer, ZBrush, Marmoset, Photoshop, etc.
16. Experience with game optimization techniques and performance analysis

**Public Compensation:**
$130,000/year to $180,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
