We are looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing company! This position supports the Department of Veterans Affairs in Virginia. This position is a leading member of the organization and supports the VA's program and leadership. The Junior Cybersecurity Engineer will provide IT and Cloud design, security, development and systems engineering. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Experience in cybersecurity engineering requirements and authorizations (FedRAMP/RMF) into systems and applications.
Experience in IT and Cloud design, security, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts. Experience in large–scale Cloud solutions in federal and/or commercial industry. Experience in Risk Assessment Experience with Federal A&A and ATO activities. Experience in Federal policies, processes, and standards.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. US Citizen Core duty hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm – and on call for emergency issues.
Must have either an Associates or a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
2 years of Information Security Experience of which at least 1 year are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience an agency similar in size to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.
DoD 8570–01.M IAT Level I, IAM I or IASAE I
1 Baseline, 1 Compute Environment Certifications and 1 Service Management Certifications. Examples include CompTIA Security+ CE for baseline certifications and one of the following: CompTIA: ITF+, A+ CE, Network+ CE, Microsoft: Microsoft M365 Fundamentals, Windows OS Fundamentals, HDI: Desktop Support Technician or Support Center Analyst compute environment certifications.
