The Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) group supports the Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses as well as Payment Solutions, Capital Markets Services, Wholesale Digitization, and International Technology across the firm. This diverse portfolio of capabilities spans multiple technology disciplines and strategic innovations. CCIBT provides strategic, enterprise-wide technology capabilities and enabling services to our lines of business and management of the applications in terms of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and cost.
Within CCIBT we are seeking a Software Engineer who will be responsible for hands on development in a team of skilled engineers and analysts. This person will become part of the Credit Bridge team within the Loan Delivery supporting distributed applications. This position includes simple to moderately complex Java development and preparation, execution of detailed testing, and issue analysis and resolution.
In this role, you will:
Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains.
Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
Provide timely updates to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Participate in the design, development, integration, testing, deployment and support of technology solutions for complex and challenging business requirements
Understand Software Development Lifecycle process, quality, security and compliance requirements
Support implementation of moderate to complex projects
Develop skills in a specific domain with training
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Interact with internal customers
Required Qualifications, US:
2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of experience with Java and API development
1+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with developing Spring Boot applications using IDEs like Eclipse/IntelliJ
Ability to write Junit tests.
Experience with Front-end Framework – React
Basic Unix Skills
Ability to write moderately complex SQL Queries
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence, etc
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to produce a copy of military orders including applicant

Ability to work additional hours as needed
Ability to work in offshore-onshore model & collaborate with all stakeholders including the flexibility to adjust work hours based upon offshore model
