Position Description:
Sayari is looking for a Senior Accountant who is a process-driven problem solver to join our team. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and CFO to refine processes, controls, and reporting. We're looking for someone with a strong background in SaaS accounting, internal controls, and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will work primarily remotely but should be based in the DMV area and able to come into the office as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the accounting function and assist in day to day accounting operations and month-end close procedures
Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure all expenses are accurately categorized and recorded, including capitalized invoices, credit card transactions, and payroll related expenses
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Work with the accounting team to prepare internal financial reports, monthly key performance indicators, and analytic commentary for management
Assist with the annual external financial statement audit
Help prepare monthly commission reports for all business units
Collaborate with the human resources department to process and complete payroll for US and international payrolls
Contribute to the improvement of current accounting processes, policies and procedures, identify gaps, design and implement improvements in systems, processes, internal controls, and efficiencies
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
Strong technical accounting skills
Desire to be in a fast-growth environment
CPA license would be a plus
Mixture of public accounting and corporate accounting experience would be a plus
Prior experience working with SaaS companies would be a plus
Experience with Netsuite would be a plus
