Manufacturing Process Engineer (Printed Circuit Board Assembly experience)

Job Description Job Description Our client is seeking a proactive Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role will serve as the technical authority for New Product Introduction (NPI) and provide process support and enhancements for existing assembly processes of legacy products. Effective communication across Operations, Program Management, and other departments is essential for success in this position.
Key Role Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess both engineering and documentation experience (including engineering plans and technical writing), as both are critical to the role's success.

Responsibilities:
· Set up and troubleshoot all standard PCB assembly processes.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of ISO 9001 AS9100 practices and IPC-610-A Workmanship Standards.
· Support production schedules to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve company revenue goals.
· Continuously monitor processes and operations to identify improvement opportunities based on training and experience.
· Generate and report on process metrics.
· Manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
· Analyze information, report research results, document processes, and resolve process-related customer issues.
Qualifications:
· Strong skills and experience in Process Development are essential.
· Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting standard PCB assembly processes.
· Experience with screen-printer setup, placement programming, AOI programming, reflow oven profiling, and wave solder recipes.
· Familiarity with CAM software such as UNICAM or AEGIS is highly desirable.
· A minimum of five years of experience in PCB assembly.
· A degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
· Strong mechanical or electro-mechanical background is preferred.
· Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities with flexibility.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
· Willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Experience with SMT First Articles and SMT/Through Hole circuit board assembly.
· At least two years of experience in receiving inspection processes.
