A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing project performance, invoicing customers, and providing financial support to multiple project managers. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will take the lead on training new project managers, developing/implementing new processes, standardizing processes/disseminating best practices, and supporting the broader region as needed.
As a key member of the Finance team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Prepare monthly project invoices
Project setup, billing terms, and contract management
Cross functional and cross business unit collaboration
Provide financial support to Finance Manager, Project Managers and functional business partners
Review, analyze, interpret dashboards
Proactively identify potential problem projects, provide solutions and/or recommendations to correcting issues
Conducting in-person and virtual training sessions
Documenting best practices and standard operating procedures
Support forecasting and budgeting activities
Prepare monthly reports on project status, including budget and forecasting for WIP
Your Expertise And Skills
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1-4 years of finance/accounting experience (preference for construction or project accounting)
Prior experience working in cross functional teams
Strong communication/presentation skills
Prioritize and multi-task, across simultaneous projects
Self-starter, highly motivated
Able to cope with change
Workday and/or QuickBooks experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance a plus
