Job Description Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Commissioning process on assigned projects from design phase through warranty phase
Provide instruction to design staff on Commissioning issues and assist in the development of specifications for projects
Ensure all services provided are accurate and appropriate and that charges against projects are reasonable
Identify and document design/ construction conflicts between trades; building system construction deficiencies and derive recommended solutions from past experiences
Review the design/installation/programming and/or troubleshooting of building automation and temperature control systems and lighting control systems
Attend project meetings and interface with clients, construction personnel, contractors, and code officials during the Commissioning process
Travel to other company locations as required
LICENSING/ CERTIFICATION:
Certification(s) from applicable organizations such as ASHRAE, ACG, AABC, AEE, NEBB, etc. are preferred
Valid driver license for required travel
TRAVEL:
Ability to travel 20-30% of the time is required. Travel may increase as company expands geographically.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Experience with commercial HVAC and controls systems – including installation or maintenance or testing and balancing (including troubleshooting of operational issues) of building automation temperature control or HVAC systems
Excellent research and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for editing/preparation of checklists, test forms and reports
Dependable and punctual
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain flexibility with workload and project schedules
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Ability to interact well with clients and co-workers, in the field and the office
