The Order Processing Specialist is a key position within our Supply Chain Management to ensure we provide the support and excellent customer service to our 800 field personnel & managers. Purchasers will process part/product/machine orders and then purchase from multiple vendors for our 100 service centers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coding requisitions in preparation for processing order documents
Generating purchase orders for specific vendors
Generating pick tickets for The ICEE Company Parts Warehouse
Transmitting purchase orders to vendors; forwarding pick tickets to the Corporate Parts Warehouse. Includes entering PO numbers and line items on several suppliers’ websites
Ensuring that emergency orders are submitted in a timely manner and before cut-offs.
Entering PO and pick ticket information into intra-company programs
Responding to inquiries about existing orders; occasional expediting tasks
Fill in for Order Tracker, including status and shipment tracking
Filing (maintain / update e-files)
Contacting vendors for parts information and pricing
As machine and parts knowledge is gained, tasks will include responses to part number inquiries, both via phone and via e-mail
Miscellaneous order-related data entry, as assigned
Other tasks may be cross-trained and assigned.
COMPETENCIES
To perform this job successfully, the Order Processing Specialist must be comfortable working with ICEE's in-house Customer Service department system and JD Edwards.

Ability to access and maneuver online - multiple Supplier and Carrier websites
Ability to learn new programs and maneuver in them throughout the day
Must be organized
Quick learner with prior basic purchasing skills in previous positions
Excellent oral, written, and problem-solving communication skills
Knowledge of JD Edwards
Knowledge of Microsoft Based Systems to include but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions when dealing with Customers
Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with Customers, Vendors, Employees, and Upper Management
The capacity to work under pressure and the adaptability to work in an ever-changing environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous expediting or order tracking experience preferably supporting multiple Service Centers
Capability to type 35 WPM, and the ability to type for up to 90% of a workday
Background in Beverage or Manufacturing industry is a plus
