This recruitment may be used to fill positions in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
Under the direction of the Supervising Respiratory Care Practitioner, the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) shall provide a full range of cardiopulmonary therapeutic and diagnostic modalities to patients/inmates collaborating with physicians, nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education : Graduation from an approved respiratory therapy program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care or its predecessor, the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education.

A license to practice Respiratory Care issued by the Respiratory Care Board of California.

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
