Role And Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Manager of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations. Their primary role is to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, planning, logistics and the supervision of warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
Operational Analysis: Leading the warehousing and markets team in areas such as operational analysis, process improvement, and market operational excellence.
Budget Management: Overseeing operating budget and capital planning, ensuring financial targets are met.
Project Management : Managing projects related to warehousing and markets.
3rd Party Logistics: Managing relationships with third party logistics (3PL) partners.
Vision and Business Processes: Developing a vision and business processes to align with company goals and objectives.
Daily Operations : Ensuring efficient and effective daily operations of warehousing and markets.
Process Improvement: Acting as a change agent for process improvement within the warehouse operations.
Budget Ownership: Owning and managing warehousing operating budgets while delivering productivity improvements.
Stakeholder Relations: Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
Team Development: Fostering an environment that promotes staff development through coaching, professional development, and succession planning.
Strategic Thinking: Thinking strategically and overseeing high-level projects to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Waste Elimination and Cost Reduction: Leading efforts to eliminate waste and reduce costs while improving productivity.
Metrics and KPIs: Defining and communicating warehousing metrics and KPIs to measure operational performance and service delivery for third-party coordination operations.
Cost Control: Ensuring understanding of monthly 3PL costs and aligning them with expectations while approving exceptions.
Team Management: Managing both direct and indirect teams (3PLs) and exercising strong influence.
Procurement Collaboration: Collaborating with Procurement to ensure that contracts align with quality, service, and cost requirements for overall success.
Improvement Projects: Identifying opportunities for improvement projects and working with relevant stakeholders to implement change and improvements.

Supply Chain Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational supply chain roles in logistics, distribution, and warehousing, with a proven record of involvement in warehouse operations, processes, logistics compliance, and risk management.
Supply Chain Knowledge : Demonstrated knowledge of key supply chain and coordination processes, as well as current best practices.
Adaptability : Versatile and capable of adapting to changing circumstances and leading change within the organization.
Software Proficiency : Proficiency in industry-standard software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
