POSITION
The HR Business Partner West Coast will be the key partner to the West Coast stores for Human Resources. With an “employee as client” mindset, this role will lead the professional handling of HR situations, while also being an ambassador for our elevated people culture at Bulgari.
Partnering with Store Directors in the West, from Las Vegas to California and Vancouver, the HR BP West Coast will have excellent relationships and understanding of our teams internally. They will also have a thorough knowledge of navigating HR business and advising leaders in the context of relevant state and local legislation.
The HR Business Partner West Coast will report to the HR Business Partner Retail and will collaborate on HR special projects as they arise. Projects will focus on improving the employee experience and elevate our high performing culture within retail.
This role works as part of a dynamic HR team of other specialist areas. The HR BP West Coast will be a key liaison with the HR team based in New York office, and the retail stores on the West Coast.
This role is key to the organization, in understanding the people and culture in our West Coast business, using this knowledge to positively influence decisions and HR approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
First point of contact for all Employee Relations cases on the West Coast, partnering with HR BP, Retail and legal as required
Business Partner to Store Directors primarily, and also Regional Director – West, and various other roles which support the West Coast business
Identify, support, and escalate, opportunities within individual store team dynamic, structure, learning, engagement, and individual development as they arise
Champion general HR policies, best practice, and compliance in all store locations
Be a local expert on HR policy, and identify opportunities to ensure compliance in company policies and procedures
Support talent development opportunities, knowing the Bulgari and LVMH guidelines, yet thinking creatively to support growth
Lead a Diverse and Inclusive culture, actively identifying opportunities to maintain and improve inclusion in all aspects
Participate in relevant HR and Retail projects to support the business growth with a people first perspective
Actively contribute to process improvement for people activity as it relates to retail employees
Support upskilling and continuous training/guidance for leaders regarding performance management and employee relations
Understand HR KPI’s and operate with focus to positively impact HR KPI’s
Handle HR administration for West Coast, including onboarding, probation follow up, leave of absence, immigration support, exit interviews, stay interviews, investigation summaries, HR reporting
Partner with internal departments for strategic and operational opportunities and needs
Travel to West Coast stores up to 30%, and New York Office as needed
KEY COMPETENCIES:
5+ years of Human Resources Experience
Understanding of retail industry is essential, prior experience in an HR role within retail required
Demonstrated experience as a business partner in a fast-paced business
Experience working across HR areas such as Employment Relations and HR Administration required
Experience working across HR areas such as Compensation/Benefits and Recruitment beneficial
Experience workingin a luxury environment is beneficial but not required
SHRM or HRCI qualification beneficial but not required
Ability to work autonomously with high level of responsibility
Working with a “employee is our client” mindset will be critical for success in this role
Experience with California and Canada employment laws and regulations
