**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**The position of Supervisor will act as the point of contact for their area to the Food & Nutrition Managers and Director. This position assumes all responsibilities of the activities within their area.**
+ **Must be able to perform the clinical, technical, and administrative aspects of the job for their specific area.**
+ **Ensures appropriate staffing based on the patient/work load for their area.**
+ **Enforces the attendance and tardy policies and reports any discrepancies.**
+ **Supervises staff in a fair and unbiased manner.**
+ **Responsible for maintaining good order and discipline in the workplace.**
+ **Creates and maintains appropriate work and call schedules (when applicable).**
+ **Orders and maintains supplies for their area.**
+ **Ensures all equipment is operational and if not takes immediate and appropriate corrective actions to maintain operations.**
+ **Ensures proper QA and QC procedures are performed.**
+ **Enforces all policies and procedures specific to their modality.**
+ **Checks for all HACCP requirements and ensures all temperature checks (dish machine, food items temp logs) are complete and accurate.**
+ **Ensures all sanitation and cleanliness is maintained.**
+ **Ensures highest standard of customer service is practiced by staff.**
+ **Holds regularly scheduled staff meetings and conducts in-service training (as required / appropriate) within their area.**
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ **High School Diploma or GED**
+ **ServSafe certification preferred**
+ **1-2 years Supervisory experience preferred, especially within Food Services Industry**
+ **Food Services experience in healthcare facility preferred.**
