**Position Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our manufacturing team within the water industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, a keen understanding of water systems, and the ability to provide technical support and solutions to optimize our products and services. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including R&D, sales, and customer support, to ensure the successful implementation and performance of our water-related applications.

**Core Responsibilities and Tasks**

Works primarily with the direct sales team, reviews customer requirements on small to medium complex projects, determines appropriate process solutions by performing calculations using standard tools.
Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing.
Works with Drafters, creates drawings as required for the application.
Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels.
Effectively communicates solution to internal and external customers.
Determines and understands risk associated with work product.
Assists in mentoring AE I level engineers on business processes and smaller applications.
**Position Requirements**
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Requires BS/BA degree in Engineering
2+ yrs of experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Advanced knowledge of business tools, processes and procedures.
Ability to conduct and understand water quality projections.
Competency in multiple standard equipment platforms and their employment.
Thorough understanding of common components and their application.
Able to execute complex tasks with limited guidance.
Effectively collaborates with other disciplines in a team environment.
Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome.
General understanding of financial principals as related to tasks assigned.
Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
