Who you are:

The Intel Federal (IFL) Engineering Computing team is looking to add a resourceful, collaborative Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer to support Intel Federal's ongoing engineering computing activities as well as putting a keen effort on supporting our growth in new initiatives in this area.

Day in the life of

As the Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer you will work to ensure the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects. You will work closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies.

As an Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer your role will perform the following:

Own the end-to-end delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, required security and IP scans, any third-party conformance tools, artifact storage and distribution, and disaster recovery planning.

Identify opportunities and implement solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline through implementation of robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators, and by monitoring and applying industry best practices.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum education requirements noted below and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

This position involves work on a US Government Contract and/or proposal for U.S. Government Contract that limit participation to U.S Citizens. A person may be required to provide proof of citizenship to comply with U.S. Government requirements. Any offer by Intel for this position is conditioned upon satisfying any government requirement regarding proof of citizenship.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other related technical field and 4+ years of relevant storage experience or

Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other related technical field and 3+ years of relevant storage experience.

4 + years’ experience with storage in large enterprises.

Preferred Qualifications:

SuSe/Linux experience of 3+ years is a plus.

Scripting Perl or python or C or C++ programing language.

Understanding of IT environment in a large scale company.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$123,419.00-$185,123.00 S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
