Sr. GIS Analyst

Job Summary:
Act as team lead to deliver mapping solutions for GIS projects by coordinating the production aspects of assigned projects with regard to map deliverables, web map solutions, and mobile applications; assist with clients’ enterprise GIS planning, implementation, and evaluation endeavors by demonstrating an advanced knowledge of GIS software and technology, data acquisition and storage, spatial analysis, and cartographic deliverables; growing the GIS service line by driving business development, project exploration and development, and client engagement; managing advanced projects independently under minimal supervision of the GIS Manager.
Advance the utilization of GIS technologies, processes, and procedures by pushing technical limits to finding new solutions for our projects and clients; present to clients, internal staff, and user conferences; deliver projects on time, budget, and within scope; analyze workflow for trends to identify problems, improve business processes, and provide solutions; represent the company and assist in growing the GIS service line by driving business development endeavors, project exploration and development, and client engagement; work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, execute, manage, and support custom mapping applications and solutions. Guide and mentor junior staff; manage advanced projects independently under minimal supervision of the GIS Manager; and utilize GIS to gain efficiencies for internal processes.
Possess advanced GIS Software knowledge and experience including Esri GIS core products (e.g. ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Spatial Analyst). Utilize GIS system architecture for Enterprise GIS planning, implementation, and evaluation. Be responsible for transforming between coordinate systems and projections. Utilize advanced and applied knowledge of GIS concepts and standards, including data development, editing and quality control procedures. Draft proposals, reports, written standards, and how-to documents. Think critically and solve geoprocessing errors to resolve technical issues with data and software using available knowledge bases and community support. Work with and support applications of GIS in various industries and specialties including municipal projects, utility and pipeline infrastructure, telecommunications and facilities/asset management. Work with autoCAS and transitioning data be ArcGIS and autoCAD.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field plus 4 years of GIS experience required; or Master’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field plus 3 years of GIS experience. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
