ABOUT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

The Property Management team is responsible for operating and maintaining our beautiful communities, but beyond that, they are relationship builders and the heart and soul of MidPen. PAY RANGE

$70,000 - $90,000 Annual Salary - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications

This is a hybrid position, based on current MidPen policy of working Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Union City Office. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, option to work from home or the office. When working from home, requires a reliable internet connection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Manages and produces annual reporting deliverables for projects including annual Tax Credit reporting and HCD Schedules of Rental Income

Analyzes, calculates, and maintains income and rent limits, and utility allowance calculations

Maintains settings in the Property Management software to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assists property staff in understanding the implementation of these requirements

Analyzes and prepares reporting for other departments to support production of funding applications and property budgets

Analyzes and documents changes in program requirements and collaborates with Asset Management, Development, and other business partners in validating regulatory and business requirements

Analyzes, updates and maintains centralized property compliance documentation

Provides quality support to the Property Management Division in the research and resolution of regulatory program interpretations and conflicts; provides support for management with information needed to establish and achieve fair and sustainable compliance requirements

Develops and delivers compliance training to Property Management as assigned, or as needed

Assists in creating and maintaining compliance monitoring processes, develops tools and methods for analysis of compliance requirements

Provides back-up support for other administrative functions within the Compliance team, as requested

Performs other assignments as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related fields is preferred

Housing Credit Certified Professional and Certified Occupancy Specialist certifications preferred

3+ years experience in analytical and administrative duties

Experience in affordable housing or in property management compliance is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Industry knowledge of federal and California state regulatory requirements and programs related to affordable housing, including HUD, Tax Credits, HOME, HCD, Section 8 PBV/TBV and other local governing authorities

Demonstrated knowledge in system software programs, ability to translate, support and train compliance and systems knowledge to those who are less proficient with property management software programs and compliance requirements

Ability to multi-task under pressure in order to meet competing deadlines, gather and analyze information, and solve problems skillfully and timely in a fast-paced work environment

Ability to compile and analyze data accurately and proficiently

Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and planning skills

Excellent written/verbal communication and analytical skills

Knowledge of professional business correspondence and comfort with computer programs

Advanced Excel knowledge and solid computer literacy with MS Office Suite Programs such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Ability to work both within a team and independently

Consistent, reliable, and dependable attendance

Must possess a valid California Drivers License, proof of current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
