Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an HPC-focused Solutions Architect with expertise in working with/for and ISV (Independent Software Vendor).

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

As a trusted advisor, you will help AWS Partners to understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to build solutions and migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind-share and broad use of AWS within ISV partners. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record of customer obsession and delivering results. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges in HPC.

Responsibilities

- Earn Trust of our Technology Partners and help them innovate, paving the way for the next decade of HPC solutions

- Help Partners to drive new and existing HPC customer success, develop the HPC Partner community and help to raise awareness that AWS is the most optimal environment for HPC workloads

- Collaborate with product, field, and Partner teams on customer-facing initiatives

- Build your personal brand and find your industry voice through blog posts, whitepapers, technical webinars, and workshops

- Bring your Think Big ideas to life, potentially creating new product and services

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
