This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who has completed at least two audit busy seasons in public accounting and is looking to apply their technical foundation in a dynamic industry environment where they can make a meaningful impact.Our client is looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, leveraging technology, and contributing ideas that help the organization operate more efficiently. You'll gain hands-on exposure across the accounting function while working closely with experienced leaders who are committed to mentorship, professional development, and career growth.Whether your audit experience includes consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, inventory-intensive businesses, or a variety of other industries, this role provides an excellent opportunity to translate your public accounting experience into a broader business and operational perspective.ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesAnalyze financial data and investigate account variancesSupport financial reporting and financial statement preparationCoordinate audit requests and collaborate with external auditorsMaintain compliance with GAAP and internal control requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficienciesParticipate in system enhancements, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with business partners across departments to support operational and financial objectivesAssist with special projects, reporting initiatives, and ad hoc analysisQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or financeMinimum of two audit busy seasons in public accountingExperience with a regional or national CPA firm preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principlesExperience preparing workpapers, reconciliations, and audit support schedulesAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and data analysisCPA eligible, actively pursuing CPA, or CPA preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsSelf-motivated with a desire to learn, grow, and contribute new ideasPreferred BackgroundPublic accounting experience with a regional or national CPA firm.
