Job Description
This is an on-site position and will require working at more than one location.
The desire is to hire a resource to assist with the configuration of up to 200 Client laptops deployed to the client.
The incumbent will also provide day-to-day support for the existing devices deployed to the LEO Fleet.
The incumbent works directly with Atlanta Information Management, support vendors, staff and with other law enforcement resources to support the technical ecosystem.
The incumbent must understand internal processes that ensure the safety for staff and the incumbent.
Incumbent must pass a public safety background check and obtain any needed credentials within thirty (30) days of the start of the assignment.
Responsibilities
Providing 1st & 2nd level user/system support by
Maintaining integrated, heterogeneous law enforcement applications.
Maintaining, imaging, and deploying vehicular workstations.
Work as liaison between APD, AIM and, vendors and others as necessary to achieve technology and functional objectives of APD.
Provide support to other APD desktop workstations, as time permits.
Provide 1st and 2nd level end-user support for all vehicle computing devices related to hardware and software issues.
Assists in creating scripts and modifying them as necessary to ensure proper operations of mobile computers.
Provide training and one-on-one tutorials as needed or when directed by CoA technology liaison.
The incumbent will work weekly standard operating hours and on-call and after hours to support a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Desktop support or related experience
Knowledge of Windows 10/11
Expertise in Active Directory
Proficiency in GPO - Group Policy Objects is highly desired.
Networking experience highly desired
Expertise in using/maintaining surveillance camera systems.
Understanding of public safety P25 Radio Communications
Ability to monitor and resolve problems with distributed system components.
Ability to identify, plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
Knowledge of desktop ticketing systems
Ability to provide one on one training of system to LEO Personnel as needed.
Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
Ability to identify and define user task needs.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
Knowledge of enterprise desktop deployment solutions
Knowledge of information security best practices
