Sr. Data Warehouse Architect

Our valued client is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join their team. As a Senior Data Architect for our data warehouse, you will be a part of a dynamic team that is using modern technologies to solve complex data challenges to ensure our data is consistent, secure, available, and of high quality so it can be used to advance our analytic and AI capabilities. This hybrid role requires you to work onsite, in Denver, CO, two days per week.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record designing and implementing data warehouse solutions, is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Translates strategic requirements into a scalable enterprise information architecture that is used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the firm.
• Designs the data architecture to integrate new applications and functionality into the existing IT environment.
• Ensures adherence to data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the firm’s data/information structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements, including master data, meta-data, database analysis, database design and Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Ensures that accepted data content standards are applied to technology projects, tools, and applications.
• Designs and tracks the consistent use of a wide variety of processes for business analysis, data acquisition, database management systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the enterprise-wide level.
• Mentors more junior data management system teams and other IT staff on data management system and solution methods, best practices, and applications. Creates and provides firm-wide training and documentation on related systems and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with:
- Talend
- AWS, RedShift (warehouse)
- MS Azure, Data Factory
- Knowledge of developing data lakes and data lake architecture
• Experience working with offshore teams- coaching and mentoring

Skills and Abilities
• Advanced understanding and experience with all functions of the data management lifecycle including data governance, data architecture, data integration, metadata management, data development, data quality management, data administration, security & operations, data stewardship and master data management.
• Advanced knowledge of various data architecture modeling and implementation techniques to support transactional, relational, dimensional, and unstructured data requirements.
• Advanced with cloud platform tools and modern data architecture solution techniques such as cloud data warehousing, data lakes, and advanced query platforms is required.
• Expert knowledge of database design and implementation of databases.
• Proven technical skills and the ability to support a changing environment.
• Excellent communication, project management and analytical skills. Ability to visualize and communicate results clearly.
• Experience with modern tools used for working with structured and unstructured data.
• Expert in manipulating SQL queries.
• Expert in the features, benefits and application of analytics and business intelligence products and comparable technology solutions.
• Proven experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
