The Administrative Legal Assistant reports directly to specific Attorneys and Partners and works with the Legal Team to ensure a smooth workflow for the Attorneys that they support. This position supports the firm by performing necessary administrative tasks on a daily basis, and is based out of our Boston office. Some remote work is permissible, although in-office attendance may be required on occasion.
Draft and send service contracts to clients under the direction of attorneys
Track payment status and notify relevant legal team members when cases need to be initiated
Support new client onboarding by entering data from legacy files and other documents into case management system
Collaborate with Legal, Administrative, and Tech teams to monitor progress of shared tasks
Create and run reports for attorneys to use as client/case management tools
Assist with scheduling attorney calls and Zoom meetings
Escalate client concerns to attorneys when needed
Communicate with clients to connect them to attorneys as appropriate
Send expense reports/reimbursement requests to AP regularly
Assist with case processing (document collection/organization, form completion, etc.)
Take on simple cases as Legal Assistant if workload allows
Additional administrative projects as needed, under the direction of attorneys
Administrative Legal Assistant Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with good academic record
Administrative experience preferred
Experience in business immigration strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially relating to email communication in a professional work environment
Ability to implement and maintain organizational systems consistently
Demonstrated computer skills
Fast learner
