Location San Diego, CA - Hybrid - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Duration: 2 year assignment
Hours 8am-5pm
The resource will be responsible for supporting staff within the Supply Operations team. Manages and executes daily procurement transactional activities (e.g., Release, Purchase Orders, other type of Agreements for materials and services), and resolves invoicing and billing issues if they arise.
Create, negotiate, and execute Purchase Orders, Releases, Amendments, Assignments, and other types of contracts
Utilize Company systems and approved templates/procedures for contract management
Experience with SAP Ariba Sourcing Software and SAP Ariba Contracts Contract Management Software is highly desirable
Manage setup and maintenance of new suppliers
Provide assistance to clients in contract management and administration principles
Collaborate with internal support organizations including Law Department, Accounts Payable, and Risk Management
Resolve conflict between suppliers and company
Ensure continuous improvement in procurement operational processes
Maintain documentation using tracking spreadsheets
Demonstrate proper protocol in contracting processes and supplier relationship implementation
Optimize usage of Purchase to Pay tools
Resolve Purchase Order and invoicing issues
Maintain focus on contributing to Supplier Diversity Diverse Business Enterprises (DBE) goals
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teams and suppliers to reduce overall costs
Perform other Supply Management duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, English, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
5-8 years of supply management experience
Masters Degree in Business Administration or other advanced academic degrees or training highly desirable
Valid California driver's license required
Experience in materials and/or services purchasing
Successful completion of purchases over $1,000,000 and/or 2-4 years of experience in specific service and/or material expertise
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation or similar professional certification in Supply Management desirable
Knowledge and application of contracting and supply management principles
Working knowledge of contract management and/or accounting systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel applications
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to seek input from others and present information clearly and logically
Anticipation and identification of customer needs, with a focus on improving customer satisfaction
Contribution to team goals and objectives, valuing the contributions of others and actively seeking their input
